Political Movements and Social Justice: Change Management in the age of Disruption

Politics and culture have for a long time been connected movements which have played a major role in the shaping of societies. These social movements, for example civil rights movement, for women’s rights, for the environmental rights are the solidarity struggle for the society. As prejudice and structural prejudices become more observable, political movements are still developing, reflecting on new purposes while, at the same time, recalling successes of the past.

The most well-known political development that changed America in the twentieth century is the Civil Right of Black Americans headed by Martin Luther King Jr. This movement was basically about the elimination of the dualDsamera system and the main culture of racism in American societies. This led to some of the most important pieces of legislation that marked the country’s struggle for eradication of racial oppression including the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the voting rights Act of 1965. Nevertheless, nowadays people still fight for the RIGHTS of people of color; protests like ‘Black Lives Matter’ BLM go on against such issues as police violence, and racism.
